ACT FOR ANXIETY ADOLESCENT
Description:
This treatment group is appropriate for adolescents (ages 12-18) with anxiety. This group was developed to provide a supportive environment to help teach teens new ways to learn about, cope, and live with anxiety they are experiencing. From the lens of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), group members will learn how to coexist with anxiety in an uncertain world. The in-person group format allows participating teens to benefit from one another’s experiences and know that they are not alone in their journey.
Our ACT for Anxiety Adolescent Group will be led by two clinicians at the CBT
Center for Anxiety and OCD, who will provide expert information about anxiety, facilitate full-group and small-group discussions and activities, and provide materials and activities to support learning and growth between and after sessions. You are not required to speak or share any information you are not comfortable with. What is said in group stays in group.
