Louisiana Virtual Support Group for OCD and Related Disorders
Meeting Information:
Rise Center for OCD and Anxiety is currently offering a free, virtual support group for OCD and related disorders (body dysmorphic disorder, hoarding disorder, body-focused repetitive disorders, illness anxiety, etc). This group is open to individuals who suffer from these disorders, as well as their family and friends. The support group is not a therapy group, and is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The purpose of the group is to provide a safe space to discuss relevant topics, give support and encouragement, and create a sense of community. Current rotating moderators include Kristin Fitch, Melissa Dufrene, Ashley Rush, Taylor Ceroni, Megan Lilly, and Shelby Chandler.
The group is held twice a month via the HIPAA-compliant version of Zoom video. Participants are welcome to attend either or both meetings. The current meetings days/times are:
Fridays: The first Friday of the month 12 – 1pm (Central Time)
Mondays: The third Monday of the month 6 – 7pm (Central Time)
