Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders: We treat co-occurring disorders like ASD/anxiety, ASD/OCD, ADHD/anxiety, depression, BPD/anxiety. We always utilize evidenced-based strategies for each condition. Treatment is individualized to meet the unique needs of each person. This may mean using a more gradual approach, using more tailored (concrete, visual, auditory) psychoeducational tools or by understanding what factors are motivating to that person. Family is often involved if appropriate. Strategies like Behavioral Activation (BA), Cognitive Therapy (CT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) or Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) may also be employed in addition to ERP. Collaboration with other sub-specialists (ED, SUD, ASD) is often helpful.
I obtained my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, a program grounded in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Following my graduate coursework, I completed my post-doctoral training at The Anxiety and Agoraphobia Treatment Center (AATC) and worked there for 8 years treating children, adolescents and adults with a variety of anxiety and OCD conditions. My supervisors were internationally known OC Spectrum experts, one of which is a current member of the IOCDF Scientific Advisory Board. I am currently the Founder/Director of the CBT Center for Anxiety and OCD.
