Scott Willoughby PhD
I have a strong interest in helping individuals with OCD through a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy (including Exposure and Response Prevention) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Approximately 40 percent of my outpatient practice is dedicated to treatment of adults with OCD. In addition, for the past 18 years, I have provided evidence-based treatment for panic disorder, phobias, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, and bipolar disorder.
In order to maximize treatment effectiveness, I may offer out-of-office sessions when indicated.
Facilities accessible by clients of all mobility levels: Yes
I initially received training and experience in cognitive-behavioral therapy for OCD during graduate school and internship at the New Orleans VAMC. After completing doctoral training in 1999, I continued to enhance my skills in treating OCD through consultations with senior level anxiety disorders specialists and participation in intensive OCD treatment workshops. In 2017 I completed the IOCDF sponsored BTTI in Dana Point, California.
