Hilary Weingarden PhD
In my private practice, I work with adults with OCD, anxiety, and related disorders (e.g., hair pulling, skin picking, body dysmorphic disorder, hoarding disorder). I use treatments that are research-backed and known to be effective, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure with ritual prevention (ERP). I also incorporate aspects of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills, and mindfulness techniques. If we work together, I will guide you through completing a treatment plan that’s individualized to meet your goals and help you refocus your time and energy back onto the things you care about most.
Alongside my private practice, I am on faculty as an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and a psychologist at the Mass General Hospital Center for OCD and Related Disorders. I completed my training at Harvard Medical School and MGH and have substantial specialized experience delivering evidence-based treatments for OCD, body dysmorphic disorder, hair pulling, skin picking, hoarding disorder, anxiety disorders, and related conditions.
