Laura Stamboni LICSW
I have been a mental health clinician for 20 years and in private practice for 12 years. The past five years have been primarily focused on treating individuals with OCD and related disorders, anxiety disorders, and depression. From 2014-2018, I had been treating the families of individuals with OCD and related disorders and served as a senior clinician at McLean Hospital’s OCD Institute Partial Hospitalization Program. Since I began working there, the program had been able to expand in the number of patients it admitted.
I am reachable by email or phone. Currently, my practice is telehealth only.
I received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Northeastern University in 1999. I earned my Masters of Social Work from Simmons College of Social Work in 2003. I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention strategies in treating individuals with OCD, as well as utilize a multi-faceted approach in treating their families which includes but is not limited to psycho education, psychodynamic, family systems, solution focused, cognitive behavioral, and strength based approaches.
I completed the Behavior Therapy Training Institute 3 day intensive training course in ERP in NYC during the summer of 2018.
