Samantha Rogowicz PhD
I specialize in working with youth and adults with OCD, and other anxiety disorders. I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the most empirically supported treatment for OCD, and when appropriate, flexibly incorporate techniques from other therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I typically deliver ERP in once-weekly 45-minute sessions, but options for more intensive formats are available to match treatment needs/goals. With children, I often work with parents on learning strategies to support your child’s treatment. Facing your fears can seem daunting, and I aim to meet you wherever you’re at to help you reach your goals.
I began my training at NYU where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with honors, and studied at the NYU Child Study Center. I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from St. John’s University, and worked with youth and adults with anxiety and mood disorders in a variety of treatment settings. I completed a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship at The Reeds Center, a private practice in Manhattan that specializes in the treatment of OCD and OCD Spectrum Disorders with ERP, where I received intensive training and supervision in ERP, CBT, and ACT from experts in the field of OCD.
