Joe Racklin PhD
I run an ongoing, weekly OCD Group of 8-10 Individuals. At Kaiser Permanente, I am expected to function as a generalist, but I would estimate that 20% of my individual caseload has OCD and/or OC Related disorders. I also have a private practice where 20-25% of my caseload has OCD and/or OCD Related disorders. I would estimate that I have treated over 100 patients, and many more if the OCD Group is included.
Facilities accessible by clients of all mobility levels: Yes
I have been a Best Practice Champion for Anxiety Disorders for several years with Kaiser Permanente in Northern California. I have specialized in Anxiety Disorders, in general, and OCD, in particular, at Kaiser, and have worked in both individual and group settings. I have run an OCD Group for the past 13 years. I have participated in formal trainings and work to stay updated with the literature on treating OCD.
Diversity Statement:
I have gained considerable experience working with Southeast Asian and Asian clients due to the demographics of location. I have used a translator to provide OCD treatment to a Punjabi-speaking client.
The bulk of my caseload over the years at Kaiser and my private practice has been with diverse populations. I have participated in cultural competency workshops over the years and strive to understand how cultural and individual difference affect treatment.
