Typically about 85% of my practice is OCD or anxiety related issues. I provide individual treatment as well as family consultations for individuals in treatment with me. I also provide consultations for organizations about OCD and related anxiety disorders. I offer supervise as well for mental health providers.
In addition to OCD, I also treat generalize anxiety, social anxiety, panic, PTSD as well as depression. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy including exposure and response prevention. I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavior therapy techniques as well. I use a collaborative approach. Treatment focuses on reducing avoidance and working towards re-engaging in the activites that matter to you.
I began my career at Columbia University working with an OCD specialist. I have conducted research on OCD. I worked in many anxiety disorder clinincs in graduate school treating clients with OCD in both New York and New Jersey. I have treated individuals with OCD and anxiety disorders throughout my career. I attend conferences and trainings regularly on evidence based findings in treatment for OCD and other anxiety disorders.
I worked for over 15 years in New York City hospitals providing treatment and training with a multicultural population of patients most of who were receiving government food, housing and financial assistance.
