Fran Kuehn LICSW, M.Ed.
I am passionate about helping individuals with OCD restore their functioning and live happier lives. Most of my practice is dedicated to this work, and I have treated about 100 people with OCD/Related disorders.
I have treated individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders/addictions who also struggle with OCD, and whose OCD themes blend into their addictive behaviors.
I have treated individuals with OCD for about 10 years. I am credentialed as a Diplomate in the Academy of Cognitive Therapy since 2013. I have completed the generalist BTTI training through the IOCDF. I participate in a peer supervision group of OCD treaters, many of whom are IOCDF members. I have attended dozens of workshops and trainings on a variety of subjects related to OCD.
I have extensive experience working with diverse peoples, am LGBTQIA+ affirming, and very aware and supportive of various forms of neurodiversity from ADHD to ASD, NVLD and beyond.
I am on the faculty at Simmons University School of Social Work where we emphasize this training in our coursework and field placements. I am fairly steeped in practicing cultural humility and de-centering whiteness in order to help individuals authentically.
