April C. Kilduff LCPC, LPCC, LMHC, LPC
Therapist, Consultant, Trainer
Treating OCD & Anxiety disorders has been my speciality since 2009, with 8 years at the intensive outpatient programs of Amita/Alexian Brothers & Rogers Behavioral Health. Under the supervision of two IOCDF Scientific Advisory Board members, I supported hundreds of people & their families as they learned to challenge & manage OCD/Anxiety using CBT, ERP & ACT. Additionally, I highly enjoy & often work with adults who also identify as autistic. My training is ongoing as there will always be more to learn from books & conferences as well as my colleagues & clients.
Have specialized in treating OCD among autistic adults since 2009; also typically treat some degree of depression with OCD.
I’m currently part of the NOCD network (www.treatmyocd.com), offering teletherapy outpatient services for OCD & also have my own private practice. My goal is to remain highly focused on OCD treatment using the evidence-based practices of CBT, ERP & ACT. Thanks to my experience at Amita/Alexian & Rogers, I have experience working with all types of OCD – contamination, checking, counting & perfectionism to name a few common ones as well as lesser-known “Pure-O” types – violent/sexual/harm thoughts (including HOCD, POCD & ROCD) & Scrupulosity. We can work together to create an exposure program that’s paced right just for you.
I was late identified as autistic in July of 2022 & am enjoying leaning into that more as I learn about myself & other autistics, including clients.
In terms of gender, I identify as a Demigirl and am a kink/ethical non-monogamy-informed therapist as well.
I am immersed in the communities of autism, LBGTQIA+, kink & ethical non-monogamy. This has always been the best form or learning for me. And I continue to seek out education opportunities around all of the above.
