Therapy always starts with a thorough diagnostic evaluation to provide a solid understanding of the strengths and challenges that will impact care, promote well-being, and decrease suffering. Approaches to OCD include a diagnostic evaluation followed by skills training and Exposure and Response Prevention. Cara Kiff, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist in California, Colorado and Vermont (CA PSY 27786, CO PSY.000571, VT 048.0134514TELE) serving children, adolescents, young adults, parents and families. Dr. Kiff earned her BA from UCLA and went on to earn MS degrees in Quantitative and Developmental Psychology and Doctorate in Child Clinical Psychology from the highly ranked University of Washington. followed by a prestigious National Institutes of Health funded postdoctoral fellowship at the UCLA Semel Institute. During her training, Dr. Kiff worked with experts in the treatment of obsessive compulsive disorder at UW, Seattle Children’s Hospital, EBTC Seattle, and UCLA.
