Jennifer Keith PsyD
Psychologist
Approximately 80-90% of patients in my practice are suffering from some form of anxiety. Among those, 30-40% have OCD or OC related disorders.
My practice averages 60% female; 30% African-American, 2% Asian American, 2% Hispanic; 15% Multiracial; 30% LGBTQ
As a psychologist, I strive to foster a climate of purposeful inclusion of all people. In my practice, I value and welcome diversity of racial and cultural identity, sexual orientation, gender identity, religious background and belief, marital status, family structure, age, mental and physical health and ability, and political perspective.
I continue to proactively pursue continuing education opportunities every year around cultural competency and working with diverse populations. My graduate work in TX and CO also emphasized cultural competency through coursework and internship opportunities with underserved and underrepresented populations.
I have been in private practice since 2006 and specialize in working with adults who have mild to significant symptoms of anxiety. I primarily utilize a Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) approach to treatment. This includes using appropriate CBT-related exposure interventions to treat OCD. I received specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) through NOCD and the Knowledge Tree and use ERP as the primary modality for treating OCD along with CBT. I also incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Positive Psychology principles into my therapeutic approach and interventions and continue to attend conferences and workshops to hone my skills.
Diversity Statement: I continue to proactively pursue continuing education opportunities every year around cultural competency and working with diverse populations. My graduate work in TX and CO also emphasized cultural competency through coursework and internship opportunities with underserved and underrepresented populations in the Native American tribal communities, Black communities, and Hispanic and Latino/a communities.
