Joanna C Jeffers MA, C. Psych.
Archways Centre for CBT
I provide in-person and video-assisted assessment and therapy for individuals struggling with anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, and depression. I am the Director of Archways Centre for CBT, a private clinic of psychologists. Working with OCD has been my passion for the past 20+ years. Typically OCD accounts for approximately 40% of my caseload. I recognize the uniqueness of each individual and their symptom presentation, and the need to use evidence-based treatments. I primarily use ERP, as well as incorporating elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
I am a licensed psychologist in Ontario (Canada). I graduated in 1999 with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, and began working in an Anxiety Disorders Clinic (Centre for Addiction & Mental Health- Toronto). I was trained in ERP by two prestigious psychiatrists, and acted as a co-therapist in OCD and trichotillomania/skin picking therapy groups, as well as providing individual CBT for OCD. I have specialized training in CBT (certified by Canadian Association of Cognitive & Behavioural Therapies, and Diplomate of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy). I attend annual conferences that address current OCD treatment issues and research.
