Narrative of Services:

The Anxiety and Mood program provides expert care for the treatment of clinical depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, dual diagnosis, and complex co-occurring conditions (i.e. a depressive disorder and substance abuse, anxiety and sex addiction, attention deficit disorder and panic, etc.). After a thorough diagnostic assessment and case conceptualization, the anxiety and mood team will draw from their clinical expertise and the research literature to select an appropriate treatment protocol to effectively reduce your symptom severity. Anxiety and Mood Program clinicians treat children, adolescents, and adults in individual, couples, and group modalities.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

I also treat depression, suicidality, and other anxiety disorders including generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and specific phobias. I tend to take an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) based approach centered around helping individuals live a life that is more meaningful and fulfilling and better aligned with their values. That said, I am trained in CBT and DBT and use when indicated.

Training Description:

I have worked with individuals with OCD and other anxiety disorders throughout my career. Presently, I am the Program Director of the Anxiety and Mood team at the Utah Center for Evidence Based Treatment where I help train and supervise other mental health professionals in the treatment of OCD, anxiety, and mood disorders.
