Narrative of Services:

Dr. Hantman has been helping adults, children and families for over 30 years using evidence-based, behavioral, emotional and systemic approaches to life problems. Dr. Hantman’s private practice includes a special focus on treating OCD, anxiety and related disorders utilizing cognitive behavior therapy and exposure response prevention. This has provided hundreds of individuals and their families relief from the suffering that anxiety and OCD has caused them.

Training Description:

Elaine Hantman completed her PhD at the University of South Carolina, and her postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School’s Children’s Hospital Neuropsychology Division and at the Family Therapy Institute of Washington D.C. She is also a graduate of the Behavior Therapy Training Institute. As Assistant Professor at UMass Medical School’s Department of Psychiatry she served as Director of the Family Center Project and later as Director of Training within the Department of Psychiatry at Berkshire Medical Center. She has also served on the professional staff of Williams College’s Health Services and provides consultation to schools, businesses and community organizations.
