Catherine Goldhouse LICSW, LCSW
I help adults with anxiety and OCD move past the “what if’s” and live life with confidence and trust. Most of my clients have OCD themes that center on identity, sexuality, morality, relationships, and harm (“Pure O”). My expertise is in using I-CBT–an evidence-based treatment for OCD that doesn’t require doing exposures as part of treatment–but I also have extensive training in and provide ERP and ACT depending on a client’s preference. I am licensed to treat clients in California, Florida, Maine, and Massachusetts.
I received my BA with Honors from Brown University and my master’s from Boston College. I acquired my clinical training at McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School’s largest psychiatric affiliate, in the division of Anxiety & Mood Disorders. I also trained at the OCD Institute, the BTTI, Beck Institute, University of Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts General Hospital. I am one of the few clinicians in the U.S. who has been trained by the creator of Inference-based Therapy (I-CBT). I am also the first clinician in the U.S. to offer I-CBT courses and train other therapists.
