Narrative of Services:

My practice offers treatment for OCD and related disorders using ERP/ACT/DBT, CBT and at times is integrated carefully with integrative methods that focus on trauma, relational difficulties, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders that most often co-occur with OCD. 90% of my current caseload is currently dedicated to those struggling with OCD and related disorders. I have treated between 65-75 clients with OCD and/or related disorders.

Training Description:

Internship training at Kaiser Los Angeles treating OCD/hoarding, followed by Supervision with a licensed psychologist specializing in OCD and related disorders treating only OCD and related disorders as a post doctoral fellow followed by 1.5 years of experience with treating OCD under supervision prior to licensure. One supervisor was affiliated with BTTI. I am familiar with complex conceptualization ocd cases, working with families to reduce accommodations and provide psychoeduation, as well as worked with most subtypes, relapse prevention, and understand how to address TIBs and apply motivational interviewing to capture clients motivation for treatment engagement

Diversity Statement:

I have worked in college, hospital, community mental health, group practices, and now my own private practice. In these setting I was exposed to, trained on, and successfully applied myriad multicultural populations. I value and implement multicultural factors in my clinical work as they can mean the difference between successful treatment and clients not completing treatment. All multicultural factors play a role in how treatment is delivered and received and in shaping the relationship between client and clinician

My doctoral program emphasized and highlighted the importance cultural competency and the need to flexibly and humbly work with diverse populations. I was asked to incorporate culture and diversity into every assignment completed during my studies. My training on diversity and culture continued to be a main emphasis throughout my internship training and post doctoral positions. Working with diverse populations requires me to be aware of my own cultural identify and beliefs and how they show up in my work with clients. I view it as an ongoing process in that my learning on this topic never ends
