Reed Farrer LMFT
My practice is primarily focused on treating people with OCD and anxiety disorders (i.e. social anxiety, panic, generalized anxiety). I use a combination of ACT, ERP, and mindfulness to help clients learn to stop avoiding and relate more skillfully to their symptoms
I treat co-occurring disorders including depression, substance abuse, and trauma. I use a combination of ACT, mindfulness, and TRM (Trauma Resiliency Model).
I was trained to treat OCD and anxiety disorders using CBT and ERP at Anxiety Therapy LA, where I previously worked as a therapist. I have also received training in ACT, DBT, and mindfulness, including a two-year mindfulness meditation teacher course (The Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program).
My first training site was a middle and high school in Los Angeles County. The school comprised a diverse population of students and families which deepened my understanding of how to work with and meet the needs of people from varying backgrounds, ethnicities, social classes, and identities.
