Lore Andrescavage LCSW (PA), LICSW (MA)
I provide individual therapy to pre-teens, adolescents, and female adults. In my practice a majority of my clients have anxiety and/or body-focused repetitive behaviors (like skin picking and hair pulling). In addition to increasing awareness of and strategies for BFRBs and anxiety, I also work on general stress management.
In addition to working on Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (like skin picking and hair pulling), I also work with clients on anxiety. I typically use CBT, ACT, and DBT approaches to help folks better manage their symptoms. We will identify thoughts, emotions and behaviors that may contribute to and worsen anxiety, and learn different skills and approaches to address them.
I worked at McLean Hospital for 14 years in several hospital settings, working with clients with a variety of diagnoses including anxiety, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), and OCD. I have completed several trainings on BFRBs, including one through the TLC Foundation. I have completed the DBT foundational training, as well as many other trainings on CBT and ACT for treating BFRBs and anxiety.
