Narrative of Services:
The majority of my practice has been treating disorders such as Generalized Anxiety, Major Depression, and PTSD. I am aiming to work with more clients with OCD or OCD related conditions (e.g., hair pulling, skin picking, phobias). I accept Aetna (in Florida only), my private pay rate if you do not use insurance is $120/hr.
Training Description:
I attended a training on OCD treatment 3 years ago. I am currently under the supervision of Dr. Jacob Schlierf, who has been working with OCD for the past 5 years and conducts OCD treatment trainings for college counseling centers.
Treatment Groups:
This telehealth treatment group runs for 1.5 hours weekly on Thursday afternoons from 3 – 4:30pm.
18+ only. Group size is between 6-10 members.
The group is structured to provide three components, roughly divided into half-hour segments:
1. Psychoeducation about OCD and discussion of OCD-related prompts brought by facilitators and group members.
2. Values-based goal-setting for an exposure each member will commit to complete over the course of the week and report back about. Feedback and guidance will be provided by facilitators. This time is also used to check-in about the goal from the previous week. (Exposures are not intentionally conducted during group time unless specifically requested by member and approved by facilitators ahead of time).
3. Informal socialization amongst group members to build community support and receive additional feedback as desired from facilitators.
Aetna and United insurance may be used in FL. Private pay cost is $60 per session.
