The vast majority of my clients are being seen for OCD. I pride myself on how many clients finish therapy with me, with the average OCD client working with me for 2-3 months. I can of course see you longer than that, but my goal is to help you get on your way as fast as possible. I also offer intensive daily therapy for people who want to make as much progress as quickly as possible.
I have worked with OCD clients for the majority of my psychology career, with focused training on OCD during my clinical residency / doctoral training. I regularly use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) in my practice, and have found it works via telehealth extremely well. I also write educational articles about OCD to give guidance to people who may not be able to be my client but still would like help.
I am experienced working with people from various racial, cultural, religious, and social backgrounds. I’ve found that certain forms of OCD (for example, scrupulosity) can manifest differently depending on the client’s background, and I’ve enjoyed learning how best to treat these clients based on those factors.
I am often attending workshops, reading academic journals, and pursuing training about OCD and how it intersects with different backgrounds and lived experiences.
