Play Therapist
Park Cities Child and Family Counseling offers individual and family therapy to children, teens and adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Tayler is the in-house OCD specialist at this location.
Tayler specialized in treating co-occurring anxiety and OCD. She enjoys assisting children with differentiating between the two diagnoses and empowering them to take steps needed to reduce intrusive, unhelpful thoughts. Tayler also has experience treating co-occurring skin-picking, hair pulling, PANDAS, perfectionist anxiety, separation anxiety, and all types of OCD thought patterns.
Tayler is a Registered Play Therapist through the Association for Play Therapy. She has specialized training in treating children ages 3-12 years in developmentally appropriate ways. She has five years of experience treating anxiety disorders, including OCD. Tayler has completed training through the AT Parenting Survival workshop. She is currently a licensed therapist in the states of Florida and Texas.
Tayler has experience working with children from a variety of cultures, religions, and ethnicities. Tayler believes that honoring a child or family’s culture is critical to making lasting and significant therapeutic change.
Tayler attended an Accredited Social Work Masters program that included training and education in cultural competency. In addition, Tayler obtains ongoing continuing education in treating children and families through a lens of cultural humility. Tayler has additional experience teaching Masters level mental health therapy students about multicultural play therapy.
