Yupei Hu MD, MPH
Dr. Hu provides cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in addition to specialty medication management of OCD and anxiety. Dr. Hu incorporated acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), exposure & response prevention (ERP), and dialectal behavioral therapy (DBT) in her approach based on clients’ needs. She has been treating OCD patients for the past 13 years.

Dr. Hu specializes in OCD and anxiety in both adults and children. She worked at McLean OCD Institute after her MPH degree at Harvard. She completed general psychiatry residency and child/adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Duke University Medical Center, with training in acceptance commitment therapy (ACT) under Dr. Rhonda Merwin. She previously practiced at Boston University Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (BU CARD), including conducting intensive treatment for panic disorder and agoraphobia. Dr. Hu has an open heart and compassion to the world She graduated from medical school in Taiwan and moved to the United Stated in 2009. She is fluent in both Mandarin and English.
She worked with diverse population at Harvard. She served Harvard students with minority background as well as students from around the world, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, India, Nicaragua, Switzerland, Taiwan, Trinidad, United Kingdom, Venezuela etc. Over the decade of experience at BU and her private practice, she also worked with clients from other countries, such as Armenia, Costa Rica, Greece, Haiti, Indonesia, Israel, Turkey, and United Arab Emirates. She enjoys working with multi-cultural background with her open heart.
