Michelle Henny LCSW, LISW
The majority of my work centers around OCD and anxiety-related disorders. I am able to offer individual therapy to adults, adolescents, and incorporate parent-based training and therapy for children with OCD and anxiety. I occasionally run online classes for parents and caregivers wishing to learn Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE).
I provide Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to a limited number of clients who at times, may need to work on addressing other concerns affecting them before being able to engage in effective OCD treatment. Some of these issues include: eating disorders, self-harm, depression, and borderline personality disorder.
My first IOCDF conference was in 2018, and since then, I have completed the International OCD Foundation’s Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI), and continue training through various professional conferences and workshops on OCD and OCD-related disorders.
Education and diversity are both things I highly value. I try to continuously challenge myself to do the work in exploring what I need to, in order to safely and ethically serve individuals with different backgrounds and experiences than I.
